What ever happened to MAY???

Oh My!!...I totally missed out on May. Apologies, again!!! But, truthfully, nothing of major concern happened in May, so not much to update. Due to the wondrous nature of working many OTs and the extra curricular activities lining up each nite (such as the recent discovery of a long lost badminton mate who jios me to play on weekdays, school and outside the office hour job scope…), I find myself absolutely drained of time.

It doesn’t help when Mr. Procastinator visits. Well, let’s just focus for today before I give a full summary for the month of MAY.

Today I am on LEAVE!!!...Study leave, that is…coz the exam’s just on Thursday and Friday. But Guess what? I am betting my dog’s ass that there’s a vocabulary to describe ‘to procrastinate for a prolonged period without the intentions of ever starting to do any work’… Yes yes, that’s how it has been over the weekend and up till now. Gotta wake up from this dream soon before it turns into a nightmare.

Journal paper shouldn’t be too bad, the only matter is I have to practice alittle, so gotta find the time sometime today…Com paper is gonna be the problem, so much to read and understand. But at least the focused topics are out and I just have to prepare a model answer for each topic… The joy of past year papers (Applies especially to Australian Exams). Will start as soon as possible, maybe after a beauty nap….haha…

OK. MAY, was a wonderful month. Full of discovery and inconvenience. I discovered that I cannot focus on too many jobs at once, especially not when there are so many proposals to complete and so many assignments due on the same week. I Pulled through it, albeit quality of my works were thinly affected. But I think my Boss noticed my productivity for last month was really deteorating, but never really fused the idea of my school assignments and work commitments colliding with one another. Who could blame him. Work is work. School Work is School work. I’ll manage this better next time round.

It didn’t help that I have a passion for sports, I’m just so desperate to have a nice, sweaty, competitive game of badminton or soccer, that I could just leave most of my things aside for a moment just to have a go. And this opportunity aroused when I met Aaron Ong, a former team mate of mine when we were playing for School in Sec 3 & 4. Week day nights will never be the same again…

The 25th of may was the most fascinating night of my life in terms of sporting ecstasy and historical moments. Liverpool, from 3-Nil down at half time, fought a fight so intense and madly insane (against not just any team, but AC Milan), that they drew 3-3 by the 56th minute and held on well into penalty kicks, which they WON!! With Dudek saving from the most clinical finisher in the world, Andrei Shevchenko… What a Night!!! I would have been in a pub or somewhere out there, soaking up the atmosphere and drenched with emotion, if not for work the few hours after the match. It was really unforgettable. To think I almost went back to bed at half time. But being the passionate supporter I am, decided to stay and watch the 2nd half of the game anyway… What a great decision. I had just witnessed a feat no team in Champions League history had ever achieved – rallying from 3-Nil down and then going on to win the Cup. Infact, historically, this is Liverpool’s 1st cup in 21 years and their 5th. The only British team to ever win the trophy 5 times and only the 3rd club in history allowed to keep the trophy for good. Now, let’s hope they get to defend their title, I wouldn’t care less at whose ever expense, as long as they get to defend their crown next term. Couldn’t sleep after the match that nite, and read every single report on them for the next few days…even today, the hype for me hasn’t actually died down.

Back to June. Exams for now from the 8th to the 21st….and then school starts again on July 15th. Too quick and expensive for my liking. But will have to just walk this rope for now…
