Let's Get on with it!!

It has been months since I updated. Forgive me for my inconsistencies, for I have been engaged at rather pre-eminent activities. Last few months have seen some ups and downs. But over the past week, there has been more downs due to the 3 consecutive losses from Liverpool. What a bummer… Whatever it is, they will return to form, I’m pretty sure of that. But 1st, they have to drop that Pallegrino. And hopefully, some of the 10 or so injuries they have been experiencing recover in time for the rest of the season.

Studying has been rather enjoyable - Considering I am taking only one module on a part-time basis for summer school, not working, and yet, still have to struggle at last min work. What I am thinking!?!?! Granted the unexpected turn of events, like my mysterious phantom fever last week for at least 4 to 5 days, I still should have finished the assignments early.

Whatz done is done. So I’m just getting on with it. One more major essay to go and I’ll have the rest of the 2 weeks after 2nd Feb to study for my exam. In my state of fluster, I would like to ask: Can we post pone Chinese New Year? For all the dates of the exam…it has to be 15th Feb. Just after CNY. Timing is uncanny don’t you think? Doesn’t help with a Wisdom tooth operation coming up on 28th Jan. And probably some other oral surgical procedures I’d have to go thru after that… (Let me endure this pain for the time being…)

So now, the focus lies on the Essay. A few more days left. But I am also hoping that Job comes along thanks to that wonderful interview I had. In any case, if that Job comes and I’d have to take 3 modules next sem, then I’d want to better manage the time I have. SO, the NEW New Year Resolution would be to have better time management, which precedes the previous one of Do whatever that comes.
"It is the fate of those who toil at the lower employments of life, to be rather driven by the fear of evil, than attracted by the prospect of good; to be exposed to censure, without hope of praise; to be disgraced by miscarriage, or punished for neglect, where success would have been without applause, and dilligence without reward.
Among these unhappy mortals is the writer of dictionaries... "
-Samuel Johnson, from the Preface

This probably refers to other occupations as well…ha ha…but do not fear.

I’ll leave you with something from my calendar, for the month of Jan 2005. PERSERVERANCE – Few things are impossible to diligence and skill. Great works are performed not by strength, but perseverance. –Samuel Johnson.
